Survodutide

GLP-1 / glucagon dual receptor agonist

An investigational once-weekly peptide that activates both the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, studied for obesity and metabolic liver disease (MASH).

Mechanism under study

As a dual GLP-1/glucagon receptor agonist, it is proposed to combine the appetite- and glucose-related effects of GLP-1 with the energy-expenditure and hepatic effects attributed to glucagon-receptor activation.

Research-reported dosing

Investigational. Phase 2 obesity trials escalated once-weekly subcutaneous doses up to roughly 4.8 mg, and it has also been studied in MASH. Not approved.

Reconstitution

10 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 5000 mcg/mL.

A 2 mg dose ≈ 40 units (50 mcg per unit).
