Gonadorelin

Synthetic GnRH decapeptide

A synthetic form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It has established diagnostic and fertility uses and is also used off-label to support endogenous hormone production.

Mechanism under study

Given in a pulsatile pattern, gonadorelin stimulates the pituitary to release LH and FSH; continuous rather than pulsatile exposure instead downregulates these signals.

Research-reported dosing

Has regulatory-approved diagnostic use (about 100 mcg IV/SC) and pulsatile-pump fertility use (roughly 5-20 mcg per pulse). Also used off-label in the TRT community to support endogenous testicular function.

Reconstitution

2 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 1000 mcg/mL.

A 100 mcg dose ≈ 10 units (10 mcg per unit).

Gonadorelin FAQ

What is Gonadorelin?

A synthetic form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It has established diagnostic and fertility uses and is also used off-label to support endogenous hormone production.

What is the half-life of Gonadorelin?

Very short — reported roughly 2-10 minutes, which is why pulsatile delivery is used clinically.

What is the research-reported dosing for Gonadorelin?

Has regulatory-approved diagnostic use (about 100 mcg IV/SC) and pulsatile-pump fertility use (roughly 5-20 mcg per pulse). Also used off-label in the TRT community to support endogenous testicular function.

How is Gonadorelin reconstituted?

2 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 1000 mcg/mL.

Is Gonadorelin FDA-approved?

No — Gonadorelin is not FDA-approved and is sold for laboratory research use only.
