PEG-MGF Dosage Chart & Schedule

A pegylated form of Mechano Growth Factor, a splice variant of IGF-1 linked to muscle repair. Human data are limited and its use is investigational.

Route
Subcutaneous
Frequency
1-3x/week (community use)
Half-life
Native MGF is cleared within minutes
Storage
Lyophilized frozen; reconstituted refrigerated.
The short answer

PEG-MGF has no established human dosing and is investigational. Research-community references use roughly 200-400 mcg subcutaneously, often 1-3 times weekly, with the PEG chain intended to stretch the minutes-long native MGF window into hours.

Figures describe how PEG-MGF is reported in the research literature and research-community references — not a recommendation for human use. For laboratory research only.

PEGylation is the whole point

  • Native MGF is cleared within minutes.
  • The attached PEG chain is intended to extend exposure to hours or longer.
  • Human pharmacokinetic data confirming this are lacking.

Investigational only

  • There is no established human dose.
  • The 200-400 mcg figures come from research-community sources, not clinical trials.

From vial to injection in 6 steps

1

Wipe both vial tops

Swab the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic-water vial with fresh alcohol and let them dry.

2

Draw the water

Pull the planned amount of bacteriostatic water (2 mL) into the syringe.

3

Add it slowly

Run the water down the inside wall of the vial — don't blast the powder. Swirl gently; never shake.

4

Let it dissolve

Wait until the solution is fully clear, then refrigerate the vial.

5

Draw your dose

Pull the calculated units on a U-100 insulin syringe (~12 units for 300 mcg).

6

Store between uses

Keep the reconstituted vial refrigerated and use within its stable window.

Handling & storage

  • A 5 mg vial with 2 mL bacteriostatic water gives 2500 mcg/mL, so 250 mcg is about 0.1 mL (10 units).
  • Reconstitute gently; store the solution refrigerated and protect from light.
  • Community protocols often time a dose around training, though this is not validated.
  • Investigational/preclinical - human dosing is not established.

PEG-MGF dosing FAQ

Is there an established PEG-MGF dose?

No. It is investigational, and the commonly cited ~200-400 mcg per dose comes from research-community references rather than human trials.

How is PEG-MGF different from regular MGF for dosing?

The PEG chain is meant to slow clearance so it can be dosed far less often - community references use 1-3 times weekly, versus native MGF being cleared within minutes.

How do I measure ~250 mcg?

From a 5 mg vial in 2 mL water (2500 mcg/mL), 250 mcg is 0.1 mL - about 10 units on a U-100 syringe.

How often is it dosed?

Community references cite 1-3 times weekly, sometimes timed around training. This frequency is not clinically established.
