GHRP-2

Growth-hormone-releasing peptide (ghrelin-receptor agonist)

A potent growth-hormone-releasing peptide and ghrelin-receptor agonist studied for stimulating GH release; also investigated as a diagnostic test of pituitary GH reserve.

Mechanism under study

Activates the GHS-R1a (ghrelin) receptor to drive a GH pulse; can modestly raise cortisol and prolactin at higher exposure compared with ipamorelin.

Research-reported dosing

Research references commonly cite ~100–300 mcg per dose, often paired with a GHRH analog. Not established for general human use.

Reconstitution

Based on a standard 10 mg vial: with 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 5,000 mcg/mL (5 mg/mL); 1 unit ≈ 50 mcg.

A 200 mcg dose ≈ 4 units (50 mcg per unit).
