The short answer

DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide first isolated in connection with sleep regulation, but its effects in humans are poorly characterized and inconsistent. Research-community sources reference small doses on the order of 100-250 mcg, typically taken at night.

Figures describe how DSIP is reported in the research literature and research-community references — not a recommendation for human use. For laboratory research only.

Research-community references reach up to about 250 mcg; effects are not well established.

Limited, mixed evidence

  • Human effects on sleep are poorly characterized and inconsistent across studies.
  • Reported half-life is very short (on the order of minutes), so timing is emphasized in research.

Dosing is only as good as the vial. DSIP is third-party tested with published COAs from our top-rated source — reconstitute with confidence and skip the guesswork on identity and purity.

DSIP reconstitution

Based on a standard 5 mg vial: with 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 2,500 mcg/mL (2.5 mg/mL); 1 unit ≈ 25 mcg.

From vial to injection in 6 steps

1

Wipe both vial tops

Swab the peptide vial and the bacteriostatic-water vial with fresh alcohol and let them dry.

2

Draw the water

Pull the planned amount of bacteriostatic water (2 mL) into the syringe.

3

Add it slowly

Run the water down the inside wall of the vial — don't blast the powder. Swirl gently; never shake.

4

Let it dissolve

Wait until the solution is fully clear, then refrigerate the vial.

5

Draw your dose

Pull the calculated units on a U-100 insulin syringe (~8 units for 200 mcg).

6

Store between uses

Keep the reconstituted vial refrigerated and use within its stable window.

Handling & storage

  • Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water (a 5 mg vial in about 2 mL gives 2,500 mcg/mL); a 200 mcg dose is roughly 0.08 mL.
  • Research use times the dose before sleep, in keeping with its sleep-related associations.
  • Refrigerate the reconstituted solution.

DSIP dosing FAQ

When is DSIP dosed in research?

It is typically taken at night, before sleep, in keeping with its sleep-related associations.

What amount is referenced?

Research-community sources cite small doses on the order of 100-250 mcg, without established human validation.

Is DSIP an established sleep aid?

No. Its effects in humans are poorly characterized and inconsistent, so any dose is a research reference rather than a recommendation.
